The fan unit and the battery box mount inside the rim of your helmet using the included peel and stick industrial velcro kit.  A small sponge is mounted via peel-n-stick onto the air outlet ramp.  Wet the sponge with water, install a 9 volt battery, and turn the unit on.  That's it. Three minute install. 
As the fan runs, it draws air from outside the rim of the helmet.  The air is them blown across the wet wet sponge, and using the principal of evaporate cooling, the unit outputs cool air off the ramp and up into the helmet.  Dramatically helps in keeping the helmet air circulating.  More than one fan can be mounted inside a single helmet if desired.
